Well guys you will be getting fed up with all the Butterfly shots, so here is one more to share. The last one, or is it.

Marmalade Fly

This is a shot of Britain,s most common hover Fly. It resembles the common wasp, but has no sting, it will not attack. One strange fact is the Hover Fly,s larvae has a vile taste to protect it from predators.

Chain Link

This shot was taken near my local harbour, the chain link is from a large ship. The ship it is from is a mystery, it must have been pretty big considering the size of the link.

The Fly

This fly landed near my sandwiches, so i took the chance to shoot before it devoured my lunch. It is a common Blue bottle Fly. Enjoy or not.

Mirror

I saw this chopper in a supermarket carpark, and thought i would try a different shot.

Wild Raspberry

When i was walking in the woods near my home, i spotted this wild berry and thought it would make a nice shot. So here it is. Enjoy.

Painted Lady

This shot is of a Painted Lady Butterfly. Taken at the same location as the previous post, this little secluded flower packed spot in the woods sure has a lot of visitors.

Hover Fly ( Sun Fly)

This little guy was sitting minding his own business when i took this shot. He did not seem to bother much, posing quite the thing. The shot was taken on the flower next door to previous post.

Marmalade Hover fly & Butterfly

This shot was taken in the Galloway forest, southern Scotland. The wasp chased away this Peacock Butterfly from feeding on this flower. The Peacock Butterfly is common all over the British isles.

Small White

This shot was taken in woods near Dumfries, Scotland. This butterfly is actually named a Small White, this is a male because he has only one spot, females have two.

Guiness Factory Dublin

I took this shot whilst on a day trip to Dublin in Ireland. The photo is the heating towers at the Guiness brewery. Too much Guiness was consumed that day, still good though.

The Swan

This shot of the British Mute swan, was taken on my local river, on a flat calm beautiful summers evening near my home. Enjoy.

This poor chap must have been really tried, just snoozing the day away.

Golden ringed Dragonfly

I took this shot when out walking in the Galloway forrest, Scotland. The Golden ringed Dragonfly is Britain,s largest dragonfly. I was thinking of putting this pic in a local wildlife photo competition, what do you think ?.

Hot Love

This band are a great T-rex marc bolan tribute band from Ayr Scotland, i took this shot just after they finished their set at a gig i was invited to take photos at. The gig was in aid of macmillan cancer nurses, and was called Jam at the Dam, as the venue was at Dam park stadium Ayr. A great day was had by all and lots of money raised for charity at the same time.

loch lomond

This is the beautiful Loch Lomond, Scotland. I took this shot early morning before the famous Scottish biting midges came out.

Benidorm beach Spain

Benidorm beach Spain popular tourist destination. As you can see there is very little room to sun bathe on the beach.

Spanish Gent

This old Spanish gent was chilling in the shade watching the world go by. It was 34c on the day this photo was shot. It was taken in the old town of Benidorm Spain.

Pedro the Spanish pup

I took this shot last week in Spain while i was on holiday. This little guy was guarding his masters shop. I will put up more of my holiday shots for all to see.

Snails Pace

This little guy was climbing along my summer seat bench cover, in the rain. You've got to like these creatures.

Old Boat

This old girl was abandoned on the beach, in a small village called Maidens on the south west coast of Scotland. It's a sad sight to see old boats and ships in this condition.

Grave

This grave is over 200 hundred years old. It is only marked with a skull and crossbones believed to represent that the person died from the plague, which was rife at that time. Or does it represent a pirate grave.

Ferry to Skye

The ferry in this shot is just returning from the beautiful isle of Skye which you can see in the distance. The mountains you can see on the island are called the Cullins.

Fishing Gear

I saw this fishing gear on the harbour side, and thought it would make a good shot. The harbour is located in the small seaside town of Girvan Scotland. Just north of here is the famous Turnberry golf course, Where the British open is being held this year, Tiger woods is expected to be there.

Royal Marine Comandos Helmand

This photo is not one of mine, it is British Royal Marines in Afganistan Helmand province. I thought i would put up this shot as tomorrow in the U.K is the first armed forces day. It will celebrate our boys and girls in Her majestys forces for the great work they do. Please remember they are trying to save lifes, so ordinary people can live without fear.

loch lomond

This is a shot of the famous loch Lomond Scotland. there is a Scottish song called loch lomond, which starts with the line by yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes on the steep sides of Ben lomond, where me and my true love will never meet again, on the bonnie bonnie banks of loch Lomond.

This shot was taken in a hotel room in Campbeltown Scotland. My camera accidently went off and this was the result. What do you think, ghost or just a camera malfunction.

This is the British Mallard duck, if you look closely at the ducks eye you think he is watching me.

Ancient graveyard

This graveyard is in a small village called Kirkoswald in Scotland. The village was frequented by the the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns.

This wee donkey is a rescued animal, he ran up to the fence to say hello to all bloggers.

This shot was taken by my local river early on Saturday morning. The butterfly posed quite well, although if i had tried getting the
shot from the right side of the butterfly i would have got wet.

This shot was taken by my local river, this male Woodpecker
was gathering food for his young chicks in a near by tree.

Mom, it moved

The look on this wee lassies face is priceless. I can imagine her saying to her mother it moved. The shot was taken in The Buchanan art gallery Glasgow.
